Something Fishy continues it’s successful run on the
festival circuit with selection to Australia’s biggest short film
festival Flickerfest and has received invitations to NIFF (Nashik),
JIFF (Jaipur), PIFF (Pune) and IIFF (Mumbai).

GOLD at the ACS State Awards!

Cinematographer Rich Kickbush picked up GOLD at the State ACS Awards (VIC/TAS) last for his work on Something Fishy. It’ll now go to the Nationals. Kudos to Kickers for his outstanding work on making Something Fishy an extraordinary little film. more here

Something Fishy festival updates

Something Fishy, the WA short film shot during the Wet Season in Broome has hit the festival circuit with an emphatic “look at me”. Something Fishy has enjoyed a remarkable run being selected into every festival it’s entered thus far and enjoying high praise for both its young cast and the filmmakers.

It debuted on the 27th of November at the 41st International Film Festival of India (IFFI 2010) where it was introduced and presented for screening by Something Fishy DOP, Richard Kickbush. It was pipped at the post for first place honours but invited into two other major Indian festivals as result and offered a generous distribution deal from a Canadian broadcaster.

It has also been invited to Cinefest en San Antonio (Texas) and selected for High Desert Shorts (Nevada), Somewhat North of Boston (Mass), ION Film Festival (Turkey) and Flickerfest (Australia).

Something Fishy has been selected to every festival it has entered to so far… It will debut in 41st International Film Festival of India in Goa where it will be presented by DOP Richard Kickbush. It has been selected into High Desert Shorts in Nevada, USA and Somewhat North of Boston Film Festival in New Hampshire, USA. It has also been invited into Cinefest en San Antonio in Texas, USA. It has been selected into Bondi Short Film Festival but unfortunately had to be withdrawn due to its selection into Flickerfest. Something Fishy screens for cast, crew and industry guests on the 18th of November at the Astor Theatre in Mt Lalwley, Perth.

Something Fishy has been invited for pre-selection to the 33rd CineFest en San Antonio in Texas, USA. CineFest en San Antonio is America’s most established and oldest indigenous film festival.

Something Fishy is now complete. It’ll spend the next year on the Festival Circuit so wish us luck…
